CzechMate readers discover romance, intrigue and faith in this first installment of the International Mission Force

Felicia Bridges’ award-winning debut novel promises to take readers on an international adventure that weaves the folklore, history, and sights of Prague into a page-turning tale of faith overcoming impossible odds. A teenage missionary in Prague finds the evidence to clear her parents of espionage charges only to discover it may be too late.  She must face an army alone, with faith her only defense.

As a member of the International Mission Force, Nicole Wise connects with friends around the globe online to share the struggles of living in a foreign culture. Their stories share insights into their struggles with faith, acculturation, and normal teenage trials.

The inspiration for Bridges’ series was her own mission trip to Prague with her then 12-year-old daughter. Upon their return, her daughter was eager to learn more about missionaries and their exciting lives abroad, but most of the books they found were biographies from a century before. Bridges’ envisioned a series that captured the imagination of young people with a fast-paced adventure, while sharing details about the culture, geography and current events of each exotic location. Ten percent of the author’s profits will go to support a missionary in the country where each book is set.

Readers have given CzechMate five stars, saying, “Bridges’ debut novel deserves five thumbs-up.” – DL Koontz, author of the Crossings Trilogy. Vonda Skelton, author, speaker and founder of Christian Communicators writes, “This isn’t your sweet little missionary story. Bridges has penned a romantic suspense that hooked me from the first page and would not let go until the last. A fast-paced adventure for readers of all ages!”

Both CzechMate and the second book in the series, BoliviaKnight, which will release in December 2016, won awards for unpublished works at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference in 2012 and 2015 respectively.

Bridges began writing as an Army BRAT learning to enjoy life overseas. Her nomadic childhood created a passion for missions and travel that energizes her writing. As a pastor’s wife and mother of four, Serving in ministry for over twenty years alongside her husband, and the mother of four children, Bridges’ vision is to inspire the next generation to carry the gospel to all nations. Her blog focuses on living on mission wherever life’s adventure leads and can be found at:
